A visibly shaken Fran Pillersdorf said Lawrence Mulqueen had been a tenant for one year in her Nanuet house and his actions had scared her. On Wednesday, she called police after Mulqueen engaged in harassing behavior toward her.
“I would say I found him to be a disturbed and disturbed man,” the 63-year-old said on Thursday, the day after his arrest.
Clarkstown Police charged Mulqueen, 49, with third and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, making terroristic threats and harassment.
“He seemed to be a function of a hate filled philosophy,” Pillersdorf said. “I found that frightening and he was obsessed.”
There were no visible signs outside Pillersdorf’s house on Freedman Avenue that police and an FBI agent had converged on it the day before.
