Trio Indicted on Heroin Charges

Joshua Levine, age 36, of Margaretville, NY and the occupants, Debra Osborne, age 31, of Margaretville, NY and Charles Hall, age 41, of Saugerties, NY were indicted on March 5 by a Rockland County Grand Jury for the crimes of felony third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument, a misdemeanor, according to the county District Attorney's Office.

The three were driving through Clarkstown when police stopped the 1998 Dodge Stratus on the New York State Thruway.

A police dog named Marty searched the vehicle and alerted his partner to heroin secreted in a dashboard panel and the center console, police said. 

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said the defendants were found to be in possession of 697 glassine envelopes containing heroin and five hypodermic instruments.
