Three Buildings' Roofs Collapsed This Morning

Clarkstown police responded at 6:50 a.m. to a roof collapse located at 67 N. Grant Ave in Congers.  

The building is a detached garage, police said. No injuries were sustained during this collapse. 

About 40 minutes later, the Police Department responded to 142 N. Rt 9W in Congers for a partial building collapse.

The Congers Fire Department also responded to that scene for a smell of gas.  No injuries were sustained during this collapse either.

A Clarkstown Building Inspector will be responding to both collapses, police said.

In Garnerville, a section of the ShopRite store's roof over the store bakery collapsed. The damage has closed the store for today, the Nyack Free Press reported.

A fire started late Feb. 13 when part of the roof collapsed at the West Rock tennis center in Nanuet, Read the report on New City Patch.
