Two Weekend DWI Arrests in Congers

One driver got into an accident, the other ran a red light.

The Clarkstown Police Department made two DWI arrests in separate incidents over the weekend—one in the morning and one late at night. 

On May 9 at 10:30 AM, the Clarkstown Police Department responded to a report of a 1-car accident at Ridge Road and Caesar Court in Congers.

The motorist, a 50-year-old Valley Cottage resident, was interviewed at the scene and placed under arrest for DWI. He was transported to Nyack Hospital for a minor injury and submitted to a blood test. He was charged with DWI (misdemeanor) and given an appearance ticket to return to Clarkstown Justice Court June 2. 

On May 10 at 3:10 AM, the Clarkstown Police Department stopped a car in the area of Route 9W and Rt. 303 in Congers for several traffic violations.

The motorist, a 35-year-old Haverstraw resident, was interviewed and arrested for DWI. She performed a field sobriety test and submitted to a breathalyzer test. She was charged with DWI (misdemeanor), pass a red light (traffic violation) and moved from lane unsafely (traffic violation). She was given an appearance ticket to return to Clarkstown Justice Court May 21.
