Unusual Suspects: Lewd Behavior; Bible Tossed; Man Urinates on Statue

Recent weird and unusual crime in the Hudson Valley. Reports do not indicate a conviction.

Bedford police are investigating a claim by a female driver in Katonah that a man exposed and fondled himself while waiting at a stoplight in the westbound lane on Route 35. The woman noted the driver's license plate after the alleged incident. 

A police officer apparently saw a New Rochelle man toss a Bible into the flower bed of Harrison home. The officer issued the man an appearance ticket for littering. 

A man approached a security guard at the Nanuet Mall and asked the guard for a cigarette, only to stab the guard multiple times in the stomach, according to Clarkstown police. Police are searching for the suspect. 

A construction worker in Hastings reportedly jumped a fence and urinated on a figurine in the backyard. When police responded, the spoke with the construction worker who decided to apologize to the resident. The resident was satisfied with the apology.

Police questioned a Sleepy Hollow resident who left his dog out in the rain after a neighbor complained of barking. The resident explained he had just spent $800 on floors and didn't want the dog inside. The man yelled and cursed when police questioned him further. 

A homeless woman was arrested for violating an order of protection by a resident of a White Plains apartment building. The homeless woman had been regularly sleeping on the stairs, according to the building manager.

A Yorktown man refused to allow paramedics space to help a drunk man on a bicycle path who had lost consciousness, according to police. The man allegedly refused to move when police asked him to and yelled profanities.
