Clarkstown Settles Tax Certs With Tilcon, Inc.

Reimbursement of almost $44,000 to be paid

 

The Town of Clarkstown and Tilcon, Inc. reached tax certiorari settlements for 2009 through 2012 for four properties in New City, West Nyack and Congers.   The total amount that will be refunded to Tilcon is $43,771.66 for the revised property assessments.   The town board authorized the reimbursements at its Thursday year-end meeting.

The assessment for Tilcon’s property on Old Mill Road in West Nyack was reduced from $937,200 to $609,180 for the years 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 at a cost of $23,114.78 to the town.

Tilcon’s property on Scratchup Road in New City was reassessed from $$909,100 to $772,735 at a cost of $9,609.32 to Clarkstown.

The assessment of Tilcon’s premises on Old Route 304 in New City was reduced from $367,800 to $275,850 for the years 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 at a cost of $6,479.50 to the town.

Tilcon’s parcel on Landmark Drive in Congers was reassessed from $259,300 to $194,475. The reduction for the years 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 will cost of $4,568.06 for the town.

The reimbursements must be paid within 60 days.
