Rockland County AmeriCorps Members Make Final Project Presentations
The youth group worked with various departments in the county
More than 30 members of the Rockland County AmeriCorps, a program of the Rockland County Youth Bureau, gave their final presentations for the 2012 Environmental Corps Friday afternoon at the Rockland County Legislative chambers. The members worked with various organizations and agencies throughout the county, working on projects like building and maintaining walking paths in parks, neighborhood beautification and getting out messages on topics like shopping with reusable bags and restrictions on eating fish from the Hudson River.
Many groups showed videos about their projects, some using clips from their work, others interviewing subjects and some going with more of a public service message-like route.
