Electricity Restored To Rockland Polls

Power restored at midnight to five sites that did not have service. St. Margaret's in Pearl River is using generators to provide heat.

Rockland County Board of Elections Commissioner Louis Babcock said O&R restored power to five polling locations at midnight on Monday. The sites - Link Elementary School, Upper Nyack Elementary School, Liberty Elementary School, The Esplanade Palisades and New Square LP3 Community Room - had been set up to run on generators. The locations are fully operational.

St. Margaret's Church in Pearl River had partial power and was getting a generator to power portable heaters. The National Guard is on standby at the site to assist with the generator.
