14th Annual County Blood Drive BBQ

Rockland County will hold its 14th annual blood drive BBQ on Wednesday, August 8 at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building A, Exhibition Hall in Pomona. The blood drive BBQ begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Employees and county residents are urged to donate. 

Breakfast, lunch and dessert will be served to those who donate. To make an appointment, contact Mary Russo at 845-364-2017 or by e-mail at russom@co.rockland.ny.us.  Walk-ins are welcome.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I think…Read More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
