The New York State Senate and Assembly have both passed Lauren's Law. It goes to the governor to be signed into law.
In celebration of the legislation that will increase organ donation in New York State, Senator Carlucci will host a press conference with Lauren Shields and her mother Jeanne Shields and statewide organ donation advocacy representatives including Helen Irving, President and CEO of the New York Organ Donor Network, Ted Lawson, President and Executive Director of Save Lives Now New York Foundation and Janet Ocasio, Co-President, Transplant Support Organization at his office.
