Appraisals, Clean-up And Security Up For Votes

The Clarkstown Town Board scheduled a special town board meeting for tonight at 7:30 pm. to vote on hiring an appraiser for West Nyack properties in conjunction with the hamlet’s revitalization project and a possible vote on awarding the town's residential garbage collection contract. 

Councilmembers will consider hiring CMS Realty Advisors Corporation to appraise 716 and 718 West Nyack Road and 4A Phillips Lane in West Nyack for a fee up to $3,500. This follows a presentation to the board on a revitalization plan for West Nyack at its October meeting.  Since then, hamlet residents have obtained non-profit status for their civic association, Heritage West Nyack.

The board will vote on appointing Radhika Nagubandi of New City as a member of the Historical Review Board and authorizing the purchasing agent to advertise bids for Congers Corporate Corridor Signs
 and replacement of the Klein Avenue Pump Station.

A public hearing will be scheduled on a proposed local law to create Chapter 41, entitled "Planning Board" and 
amending Chapters 42 and 43 of the town code and setting a second hearing on adopting an updated official map of the town.

Three tentative resolutions are also listed on the agenda:

• Awarding the residential garbage bid

• Consideration of a bonding resolution for town hall security improvements

• Request for a change order for the Torne Brook Estates Belgium Block Curb Replacement Program.
