What did you think of Obama's address to the convention? Tell us in the comments section below.

"America, I never said this journey would be easy, and I won’t promise that now. Yes, our path is harder – but it leads to a better place. Yes our road is longer – but we travel it together. We don’t turn back. We leave no one behind. We pull each other up. We draw strength from our victories, and we learn from our mistakes, but we keep our eyes fixed on that distant horizon, knowing that Providence is with us, and that we are surely blessed to be citizens of the greatest nation on Earth."

Unemployment did the opposite of skyrocketing - it plummeted after the stimulus. I'm sick of being told that I'm a RINO just because I believe in FACTS and HISTORY and SCIENCE. NO, a trillion dollars wasn't thrown away on stimulus - and EVERY reputable economist will agree that the stimulus stopped our hemorrhaging of nearly 800k jobs EVERY month due to trickle down policies and poor control over the markets. Obama had nothing to do with banks packaging bad loans into securities and selling them off as AAA rated when they knew they were junk bonds. You're the poster child for the uninformed voter, and it's a shame. Even WSJ admits that without GOP local/state job cuts we'd have 1% lower unemployment and that would push more job creation due to more demand. Please read some history before you spout nonsense on issues you know nothing about.

There aren't any new taxes, and Romney has promised to balance the budget - given his new tax cuts for the wealthy, he would either have to cut the military, gut social security, or raise taxes on the rest of us. Much as you want to believe there's a lot of waste in discretionary spending - it's such a small part of the budget it wouldn't close the gap. So he'd have to eliminate things like the payroll tax cut, and deductions that I rely on to keep my income at a reasonable level. Romney's performance today on foreign policy also shows he's unfit to be our representative to the world - even Peggy Noonan thinks so and she's Reagan's former speechwriter and special assistant. His tax policy is bad, his foreign policy is worse, and the fact that he left the podium smiling today is odious.

Local resident, "There aren't any new taxes" where were you when they passed, behind closed doors, the Affordable Heath Care Act? The supreme court ruled it a TAX. I guess you don't go along with that, right?
