Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski’s (D-New City) district office is once again serving as a Toys for Tots drop-off location. New, unwrapped toy donations are being accepted at his district office at 67 North Main St. in New City.
“If you are able to make a donation, even one toy, it’s a big help to this great program,” Zebrowski said. “Giving a needy child the chance to unwrap a present this holiday season makes all the difference.”
This is the fifth year Zebrowski’s office has participated in the annual holiday toy drive started by United States Marine Corps Major Bill Hendricks in 1947. Now, the United States Marine Corps Reserve and the Marine Toys for Tots charity foundation run the Toys for Tots Program. Over the last 62 years, the program distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children.
“I am happy to lend my support to the Toys for Tots program again this year,” Zebrowski said. “The impact it has on kids across the nation is immeasurable and I am proud to say we have seen a lot of support in Rockland County. Hopefully, we’ll have another good year.”
