The replacement of a along South Main Street between Third Ave and the intersection with Route 304 continued this past week. Traffic moved in narrowed lanes where the construction was taking place. A deep trench was dug for installation of the new gas line.
Fridays work was occuring in front of HSBC and the Shell Station. At these businesses with two driveways, one was blocked by the work and the other served for both entering and exiting traffic.
More extensive work will begin on South Main Street as part of its revitalization project once the gas main is replaced.
