Two Public Hearing Dates & 2013 Meeting Schedule Approved

Clarkstown Town Board sets public hearings on Neighborhood Shopping zoning and the boundaries of the Nanuet Fire District

The Clarkstown Town Board scheduled public hearings for Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 8 p.m. The hearing next week concerns final approval of the map designating boundary lines for the Nanuet Fire District. Rockland County GEIS created the map, which has been approved by the Nanuet Fire District Board of Commissioners.

The Dec. 11 public hearing seeks input on amending local law to allow Neighborhood Shopping zoning. The measure is explained as furthering the “goals and objectives of the town’s Comprehensive Plan by allowing for areas of small commercial and mixed use development.”
