Zebrowski Returns To Assembly For Third Term

New City Democrat did not have an opponent

 

Incumbent 94th district Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski said he was looking forward to continue representing Rockland County for another two years. 

Zebrowski got 38,877 votes.  In Rockland County, 115,794 voters participated in Tuesday's elections. 100 percent of Rockland's election districts are in.

As Rockland County Republicans watched election updates throughout the night at Casa Mia in Blauvelt, Rockland County Democratic Committee took over Town & Country in Congers. Vincent Reda, Rockland Republican chair, said it was a disappointing night for republicans.

Zebrowski, 31, was elected to the state Assembly in a special election May 2007 held after his father, Assemblyman Kenneth Peter Zebrowski, died.

“New York needs to build upon the work of the past two years and continue to provide an effective and efficient government," said Zebrowski of New City.  "As we look ahead, significant challenges remain, and I am committed to addressing the needs of Rockland County families. Our work is not done; we need to solidify our economic recovery through job creation in the Hudson Valley. 

"We need to re-invest in education and reform the school aid formula to create a more fair and equitable distribution of funds. We need to protect property taxpayers by providing real mandate relief and fiscal oversight for struggling municipalities.  I want to thank the people of Rockland County for their support and I pledge to work day-in and day-out on their behalf.”
