I drove to the Clarkstown Highway Department today to speak with Wayne Ballard, Clarkstown Highway Superintendent. I wanted to know why he has not replied to my email about concerns I have with a political flyer which names one of his employees, Victoria Malone. Victoria is Dennis Malone's daughter, Wayne's opponent in tomorrow's election for Highway Superintendent. As an elected official I expect him to answer me. He was not in so I left my business card with the secretary for him to call me. He has not called me.
Since I first started writing about the Ballard/Malone race, I have been contacted by employees within the Clarkstown Highway Department. According to them, Wayne is never in the building. However, this was not the most disturbing information I was provided. I would like to preface this by stating I have met Dennis Malone only once when he was campaigning in my neighborhood. I have never met his daughter Victoria. I have no relationship with the Malone family.
Questions for Wayne Ballard:
1) Wayne, is it true that you don't let use Victoria Malone use the women's facility which is near your office and that she is forced to share a bathroom with the men?
2) Wayne, is it true that you designated a locker (the only one) for Victoria Malone in the electrical room which has rat feces present?
3) Wayne, is it true that you have several employees up for promotion and that you stopped their testing (necessary for promotion) 1/2 way through to make them collect absentee ballots, put up election signs and make phone calls for your campaign?
