Chairwoman Cornell Introduces "Wi-Fi" to Chambers

New City, NY  (December 18, 2013) – Rockland County Legislature Chairwoman Harriet Cornell announced that internet access is now available during legislature meetings held in its New City chambers.

“This is one more step in my initiative to reduce the use of paper in our office, as well as to provide greater access for the public,” said Cornell.  “Legislators can follow agendas on their personal electronic devices, and members of the public who attend meetings are now able to view meeting agenda materials on their devices during meetings.  This will become especially advantageous to the public when during the course of a discussion we reference a certain clause or paragraph contained in a resolution or local law.  Residents will be able to follow word for word.”
