Announcing our Junior Farmers Summer Program for Kids!

JUNIOR FARMERS SUMMER PROGRAM for children ages 6 – 12 at Cropsey Community Farm in New City is a week of Hands-on organic farming, field games, nature exploration, art activities and much more!

Rockland Farm Alliance is happy to announce our first summer program for kids interested in food, farming, and the environment. Junior Farmers is a week-long experience where YOU are part of the Cropsey Community Farm team!

Plant and harvest with the farmers and conduct taste tests in the field. Bug hunts, art activities and special visits with beekeepers and chefs are included with plenty of time for sprinklers and field games. At the end of the week, each junior farmer takes home their field journal, recipes, a custom designed t-shirt and a new perspective on where food comes from and how it gets to our tables.

Session I: July 8 – 12, 9am – Noon
Session II: August 5 – 9 9am – Noon
$225 per week
Lunch extension to 1pm is $50 per week
