Iona Island Walk

New City Library, Neighbor

Iona Island, near the Bear Mountain Bridge, has a varied history. Walk with Doc Bayne, former historian at Sterling Forest State Park, to uncover some of the hidden foundations and learn about the island played a key role in the this country’s war defense. Meet at the library to car pool. Must wear appropriate shoes. Bring water and a snack. Registration required. Call 845-634-4997, ext. 139.
