Clarkstown School Board remembered those with ties to the district

The Clarkstown Board of Education observed a Moment of Reflection at Thursday’s meeting in memory of the victims of September 11 and their families and the victim of the Empire State Building shooting. The victims of September 11 with close ties to the district who were remembered were: former Home School Counselor Gus Pappalardo, former West Nyack Elementary Teacher Harriet Timoner and Jeff Flagg, son of former School Board member Barbara Flagg. Steven Ercolino, a Clarkstown South High School graduate and former Nanuet resident, was shot to death by a former co-worker on August 24 outside the Empire State Building.

After the observance, the school board began its regular meeting. The board voted to accept numerous donations for schools from PTA organizations and a graduating class.
