New City Residents Earn Dean’s List Distinction

Bachelor and master's degrees awarded

 

The State University of New York at New Paltz named the following local resident to the Dean’s List for the Spring 2012 semester: Alex Cannella, whose major is Electrical Engineering; John Czarnecky, whose major is Visual Arts; Erica Eisenstadt, whose major is Communication Media; Morgan Lizotte, whose major is Psychology; Meghan McDonough, whose major is Painting; Kelly Morehead, whose major is English; Osatohamwen Okundaye, whose major is Undeclared; Christine Riolo, whose Early Childhood & Child Ed B-6; David Spiegel, whose major is Journalism; Stephen St. Denis, whose major is Undeclared and Lara Weiner, whose major is Biology.

New Paltz’s Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named more than 350 students to the Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester. The local students who made the SUNY Potsdam Dean's List were: Katherine Humenn, whose major is Childhood/Early Childhood Education and Brooke Kallenberg, whose major is Psychology. To achieve the honor of being on the Dean's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically graded semester hours with a grade point average of between 3.25 and 3.49 in the given semester.

Alexandra Harris was recently named to the President's List at SUNY Potsdam. Harris, whose major is Speech Communication, was among more than 800 students who were honored for academic excellence. To achieve the honor of being on the Spring 2012 semester President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically graded semester hours with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The following New City residents earned undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates of advanced study as members of the Class of 2012 at The College of Saint Rose in Albany: Christopher Irace received a Bachelor of Science degree; Matthew Davidowicz received a Bachelor of Arts degree; Robert Freedman received a Certificate of Advanced Study; and Rebecca Mizrahi received a Certificate of Advanced Study. Diana Graviano received a Master of Science in Education degree.
