New City residents earned academic recognition from colleges in New York, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts this past fall.
Colleen A. Fallon of New City earned Dean's List honors at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia for the Fall 2012 semester, Fallon is majoring in Food Marketing at the University. Students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above, a B or greater in all their classes, and complete at least 15 credits to earn Dean's List status for a semester.

Chanel Freeman has been named to the fall 2012 dean's list at St. Bonaventure University. Freeman is majoring in psychology.
Juliet Choi has been named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Choi is a doctor of pharmacy student. Selection for the award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall of 2012.
Michael Meshberg has been named to the 2012 fall semester Dean's List at Lafayette College in Easton, PA. To qualify for Dean's List, a student must achieve at least a 3.60 semester grade point average out of a possible 4.0. He is a graduate of Clarkstown South High School.
Emerson College student Jake Catsaros, a Theatre Studies major, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. The criterion to make Boston- based Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
