Rockland BOCES Holds Meeting On East Ramapo Shortfall

Nyack meeting at 6 p.m. to update parents on $5 million overdue payment from the East Ramapo School District

 

Rockland BOCES officials have called a 6 p.m. meeting tonight in Nyack to update parents and caregivers about its financial situation.  Rockland BOCES is owed $5 million by the East Ramapo School District. The payment is 90 days late.

BOCES Superintendent Mary Jean Marsico will brief parents on the impact of East Ramapo’s failure to pay for services and the impact on BOCES programs and services.  BOCES staff was informed about the situation on Thursday, Jan. 3. The meeting takes place at the BOCES Education Resource Center at 131 North Midland Avenue in Nyack. The East Ramapo district is struggling financiallly.
