Thank you very much for covering this, It is important for component district (Clarkstown, Haverstraw-Stony Point, Nanuet, Nyack, Pearl River, Ramapo , South Orangetown) parents to go to their district school board meetings and speak up about this issue and ask if they will be considering alternatives in the event of BOCES program closures and consolidations. Please check back with http://www.jessekaplan-pta.org BOCES elementary PTA webpage for updates, they hope to post the contact information for County and State legislators we need to petition, we need lots of people to ask them to help put pressure on ER to pay their BOCES bill.
what they should do is to call gromack in clarkstown and ask him to borrow the money for them...he is expert at that!!!!didnt we read a few weeks ago that clpowntown is going to "BORROW MONEY LIKE OVER 4 MILLION FOR THE CONGERS BOARDWALK TO NOWHERE???clowntwon is sooo WEALTHY..or like to live on "the borrow the money rules"

its just clearer and clearer that the state of NY needs to take over the ERCSD- the board there is beyond incompetent and simply cannot be trusted with public funds.Where is the SED? Where is the Attorney General?

The blatant misrepresentation of the ER School Board should be grounds for state intervention. The district has failed its students and community. It priorities do not serve the interests of the students. As a result other districts will now be impacted because of this poor behavior.
how about the state make all school districts only hold meetings on friday nights or saturdays thru-out the state so most parents can attend the meetings as most familys have 2 parents working!!!!!!!!! that would really help east ramapo people!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its obvious thet the E Ramapo board is trying to hold the state hostage until they get what they want. BOCES should notify ER they will not accept their students for one day next week, two days the following week and so in until the bill is paid.

Like the board would care? They have no interest in the students.
