ARC Tournament Holds Skills Competition
The event featured the fastest man race, outfield throw and home run derby
Â
The ARC Tournament took an afternoon off from hosting games between Rockland’s 11-12 all-star teams for its 16th annual skills competition. Saturday's events featured a Fast Man Race, which was a timed run around the base paths, a home run derby and outfield throw competition, where players stood in center and threw home into a net at home plate. Hitting the next on a fly was worth three points, hitting it on one bounce was two points and hitting it on two or more bounces earned one point. The ARC Tournament resumed play Saturday evening. The top four teams will play in the semifinals Tuesday night, and the winners of each game will play for the title 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Zukor Park.
