Kris Alleyne Named Big East Defensive Player of the Week

Now playing lacrosse for Rutgers, Kris Alleyne was named Defensive Player of the Week by the Big East Conference, the university announced. 

"Alleyne anchored a Rutgers defense that allowed just six goals in its BIG EAST opener. The sophomore made 15 saves against 21 shots on goal (.714 percent), helping the Scarlet Knights to a 12-6 victory over Providence on March 15. He also collected three ground balls," the university said in its press release. 

Alleyne was a star goalie at Clarkstown South.
