From the New City/Suffern Allstars
The New City/Suffern (NCS) 11/12 Softball Allstars won the State Championship, beating south shore of Staten Island 5-2.
Kaitlyn Fudge got the win and Samantha Kaner got the save.
NCS had won the Districts, Sections and States outscoring their opponents 114-11.
Kaitlyn Fudge and Sam Kaner averaged less then an earned run in 11 games.
The high powered offense was led by Jenna O' Reilly, Nicole Guccione, Kim Kaufman, Halle Medici, Elizabeth Dwyer, Sasha Goldstein, Abbey Zaslav and Danielle Cronin.
This team that has won the State Championship 2 out of the last 3 years (10yr old States and Eastern regional champs) has been playing stellar defense led by Lily Medici, Kaitlyn Keane and Megan Keaveney.
The great defense that this team has played makes our pitchers that much better.
