Summer's Coming: Boulders Choose Charities for 2014 Challenge

Here's an excuse to have fun while doing good!

Pitchers and catchers have reported and the Rockland Boulders have designated 13 nights for the 2014 Charity Challenge.

It's the fourth year that the Boulders and Active International have helped local causes raise money. Each charity gets one evening to raise funds during a game at Provident Bank Park—plus the one that raises the most money gets to do it again on Opening Night the following season.

The 2013 winner was Children of Promise Stable in Nanuet which will have its special season kickoff event as part of the Boulders’ opening game May 23.

“We are happy to be working with Active International once again on the fourth season of the Charity Challenge,” said Ken Lehner, Boulders President, in an article on the team's website.  “The Challenge has grown in visibility and importance each year, and we are confident 2014 will be the strongest year yet.”
