Rockland County is holding a blood drive at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building A, Exhibition Hall in Pomona today from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Donors can make an appointment by contacting Mary Russo at 845-364-2017 or russom@co.rockland.ny.us. Walk-ins are welcome and breakfast and lunch will be available for donors.
Those donating now through January 17, 2014 will be entered into a raffle for one pair of tickets to the Super Bowl.
This is one of the county's four annual blood drives and all are open to county residents as well as employees.
“As the summer months approach and vacations begin, we encourage County employees and residents, who are able to do so, to donate blood,” said County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef.
