Rockland County Legislature
The Rockland County Legislature’s session begins at 7 p.m. with three public hearings on the propose 2014 budget. The first hearing is on the proposed 2014 budget of $760,864,295, which carries a 9.9 percent tax increase and the second hearing is on overriding the two percent tax cap. The third public hearing deals with several different approaches to handle remaining part of the county’s budget deficit of $128 million, which is not covered by the $96 million deficit reduction bond that the governor authorized last week. Clarkstown School Board
The Clarkstown Board of Education will hold a Community Workshop on the 2014/2015 school budget at 7 p.m. at 62 Old Middletown Road in New City.
The Nanuet School Board meets at 7:30 p.m. at Nanuet High School. Agenda items include an expansion of the solar panel contract and discussion of student achievement and Common Core Standards at Miller Elementary School.

RCC Student Veterans Dodgeball Fundraiser For Homes for Heroes
The Rockland Community College student Veterans sponsored Homes For Heroes benefit Dodgeball Tournament is set for 3 p.m. in the Fieldhouse. The cost to play is $5 per person or $20 per team of four. Free admission for spectators. Food will be available. Homes For Heroes t-shirts will be available for purchase. Come out for a day of Dodgeball to support local veterans. Play or cheer them on. Stop by Yogurt Sensations on Central Ave in Pearl River on Wednesday, November 20 between 12 and 10 p.m. to show your support! Yogurt Sensations will donate a percentage of the day's net proceeds to UHR.
Nanuet Community Meeting On Rezoning
Attend a community meeting on Nanuet’s future. Hear a presentation on the hamlet’s challenges and opportunities for rezoning and ideas for the Route 59 corridor and share your input. The meeting takes place at Nanuet High School from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Read more here.

New City Library Board Of Trustees Meeting
The New City Library Board of Trustees will be meet at 7 p.m. at the New City Library.
