Why did it take realtives nearly 20 years to even check on their whereabouts?
Bubbawubba Gump July 24, 2014 at 02:11 pm
Make room for daddy?
Patricia Thomas Ingram July 24, 2014 at 04:39 pm
The husband probably told the neighbors they were moving, so no one questioned not seeing them andRead More relatives well people move ,lose contact.

Not as clever as I think July 23, 2014 at 09:32 am
Why would she say that if he was'nt bothering anyone- was he in a private place? Poor guy wasRead More probably embarrassed just adjusting his suit-
My own business July 23, 2014 at 06:39 pm
For anyone who cares the name of this pig is Aron Roth and he is a Hasidic from Brooklyn who is notRead More a Clarkstown resident and doesn't even belong on OUR path.
jimmy jones July 23, 2014 at 07:42 pm
as I do agree he is a pig or whatever, technically the new part of the path was built with stateRead More funds so it is open to all state residents. Its the truth look it up

I guess the old saying fits here...." the family that steals together...stays together...inRead More jail that is"....or something like that. Real smart fellows there !
Klaatu Boradanicto July 22, 2014 at 07:42 am
They must have been really hard-up. How much money can you get for a handful of copper tubing?
Terry P July 22, 2014 at 09:20 am
Just throw the book at these thugs and let them rot in jail.

It actually could be either. But if you are in an intimate relationship with someone where these pixRead More are used for mutual gratification, and the relationship ends, the point of the law is that the pix should not be able to be used against you at a later time. Not the same behavior as teenagers "sexting" necessarily but if your teen did this as many teens do without thinking of the extent of the consequences, you would be happy to know there is recourse for them too.
amerpatriot July 22, 2014 at 08:41 am
Not nec... pictures/videos taken with permission at the time, but later used without permissionRead More (revenge), or after permission has been revoked or assumed revoked. If in a relationship and give permission, then when you want to take back that permission, email yourself and all parties involved that you have rescinded permission. At least the timeline stops there. Anything after that could be a felony as described in this new law.
Terry P July 22, 2014 at 09:17 am
Sounds to me like another well-intentioned, but ultimately unenforceable law, created to make peopleRead More believe they have recourse. I'm guessing in the vast majority of potential cases, they will never be able to pin the action on anybody.
amerpatriot July 22, 2014 at 08:53 am
AMG: "Obviously these are all men responding." "Obviously" you are a rabidRead More man-hater. The article is about unlicensed massage parlors, not the sex felonies you describe. No one is forcing anyone into anything. And where does it mention children. Only in your sick mind, that's where. Guess what - if these places had paid the state & county for a license to operate a massage parlor, this wouldn't even be a story would it. "... the pimping of women by force..." ?? Really ? What force. Get a life.
AMG July 22, 2014 at 09:34 am
Read the article. Both respones to my comments are inaccurate. The ladies arrested were offeringRead More sex. Also read up on human trafficking before you comment on it. I have a friend that is involved in educating people because in the US - yes the US- it is a big problem. People linked to prostitution are many times involved in trafficking and children are trafficked in the same circles. Everything I said is factual. You are misinformed my friend.

Wow... how long did to take our 200K a year Police and Sheriffs to figure this out ?
StandfortheLord July 14, 2014 at 10:48 am
I believe the Nanuet fire was the OLD Clarkstown Police headquarters on the corner of West NyackRead More road and rt 304. Old-timer Rocklanders will remember that.

Hey David, "Dou-Bag", what does Bush and Bin Laden have to do with a personal criminalRead More case? Besides, Bin Laden is dead and nothing has changed. The occupant in the W.H. will be on trial soon as well, don't worry!
Amy S. July 19, 2014 at 01:18 pm
not if he is playing golf.
do cons ever work? July 23, 2014 at 12:14 pm
Have you ever noticed that when tragedy strikes this country the Republican presidents are always onRead More vacation and the Democratic presidents are always in the White House? Funny. Even with Katrina, the war criminal was in Crawford on his month-long (5th) vacation.

Maybe the guys in the car gave him a look.

Alfred Patch writer - did Greg Schillinglaw from Journal News report any details? For example, whoRead More declared the suspect "drunk"? Was there a BAC test done by responding officers? Where was the suspect before the shooting.? Anybody know? Or was it the typical Journal News article - lots of "scary stuff" about guns, and nothing of use to read.
Amy S. July 19, 2014 at 01:31 pm
Those two must have been doing something in that car. A police officer doesn't just fire a gun atRead More your car for fun.
Bill Payer July 9, 2014 at 08:46 pm
It must be quite a day for a male in a female prison. Hard to imagine what goes on in there!

$500 bail for rape is ridiculous. Should have been $50K at least. I am assuming (hoping} it was aRead More typo by patch? Anyhow hats off to the NY troopers for nailing this scumbag.
amerpatriot July 10, 2014 at 08:24 am
Nice reporting. Is he a "former Corrections Officer"? He was suspended May 6 - is heRead More still on the payroll? Is he suspended with or without pay until Sept 4. Let's see... be convicted of a Class E Felony for Rape in the 3rd Degree or lose $500 and hit the road. That's a gimme if I ever saw one...

"Taubenfeld's accuser went to the rabbi for counseling after the September 11th attacks".Read More So, the rabbi thought, "the best defense is a good offense, so I'll attack him". Yes, that's exactly how this went down. Another hasidic rabbi just doin his thing, or better yet, not having control of his thing!

Back seated or front seated car seat.... my question is: how in the WORLD can these parents goRead More hours, and hours throughtout the day without thinking about their baby??? Don't they think about their child like: what is he/she doing right now, is he sleeping or playing with his friends, is he eating right now? Is he ok????etc...). Don't they call each other (mom/dad) to ask how the daycare drop off went??? My God!!! I think they should have the same punishment.
Ron Drew July 16, 2014 at 03:57 pm
Rita is correct in her response but what I am saying is to be consistent. New Haven should notRead More arrest a parent for accidentally leaving a child in the car and Ridgefield not arrest. Also Igor indicated not to put the burden on the car makers. Yet they now have computer chips to stop the car before it hits something and beeps at the driver if they move across the center line. All these are good things so how about something that helps solve this problem.
johndoe July 17, 2014 at 02:46 pm
OK. so what is the verdict??? why is it taking so F***** long to convict a father who killed hisRead More baby!
jo July 8, 2014 at 09:00 am
From the Tao..."those who Speak, don't know ...those who Don't speak know"... we have toRead More much "chatter" from them who do NOT Know....

Yeah, I'm sure the same people screaming for IP's closure are on their way to the southern border toRead More adopt 3 or 4 of the poor innocent illegals obama is allowing to flood the country.
Klaatu Boradanicto July 10, 2014 at 05:30 pm
IP does NOT generate 2064 megawatts, it produces 2064 GIGAWATTS. "Area Man July 07, 2014 atRead More 07:01 PM So that's 6.5 acres per mw. IP generates 2064mw according to their website. That makes 13416 acres. Divided by 640 acres per sq mile equals 20.9 sq miles."
