Wildlife must be sick or injured for the ACO to respond. Wildlife in homes or on property that are not sick or injured may be removed at the property owners expense by hiring a Nuisance Wildlife Agent. The Clarkstown Town Police Department is responsible for protecting life and property; preventing crime; enforcingMore local, state and federal laws; and anticipating and responding to events that threaten public order and citizens' quality of life.</p> <p>Peter T. Noonan is chief of police. Robert G. Mahon is patrol captain and Michael R. Sullivan is administrative captain.</p> <p>In an average month, the department handles more than 2,700 incidents, making more than 160 arrests and responds to around 300 accident calls. The department has 166 officers.</p> <p>Dial 911 in case of emergency.</p> <p>Joel J. Epstein is chairman of the Civilian Complaint Review Board, which reviews non-criminal complaints involving police officers. <br />Complaint forms are available at the Police Department, the Town Clerk's Office, and the Supervisor's Office.</p> <p>The Records Division, 845-639-5850 is responsible for maintaining all reports completed by the Clarkstown Police Department, including Motor Vehicle Accident and Incident reports. Copies of these reports may be obtained during normal business hours. Proper ID is required and authorization under the Freedom of Information Act may be required. There is a fee of $.25 per page. The hours of operation for the Records Division are Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm.</p> <p> </p>
