"Sirens" Attracts Crowd at Penguin Rep Theater

Penguin Rep Theater is known for innovative and fresh plays, bringing new talent and shows to Rockland County. Their current production, Sirens, proves why crowds return to Penguin Rep every show. It's funny, intelligent, intriguing, and entertaining; another must see for everyone. The story follows Rose and Sam, a couple celebrating their 25th anniversary. Sam is a musican with a one-hit wonder named after and written about his loving wife, Rose Adelle, and Rose owns a shop to pay the bills. Rose wants to do something special for their anniversary now that their son is grown but Sam is too busy trying to relive his past in order to remember the passion of first falling in love. However, he decides to do this by meeting up with young girls…

Be sure to grab a before or after dinner fabulous meal at Antoine McGuires Oyster and Ale House in Haverstraw. Just down the street from Union. Chef Anthony is classically French trained and certainly knows his way around a kitchen. Defiant beers and very reasonable prices. You will feel like you are in the Village. One of the best things about the holiday season is the dazzling Christmas light displays that glow from every house in suburbia USA. As a kid, they fill one up with wonder and excitement. As an adult, well, who do you think hangs the dreaded things up every year? Tom Dudzick's "Greetings!"—playing at Rockland's Broadway quality theater Penguin Repertory—tells a beautiful, thought-provoking story of a working class Catholic family at Christmastime.
