Plans Set For Ed Day’s Swearing In

On Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 Ed Day will be sworn in as Rockland County’s third county executive. Day, a Republican, will take the oath of office in an 11 a.m. public ceremony at the county’s Fire Training Center in Pomona.

Day said his remarks will focus on the new direction for Rockland. He will speak about the county’s current status, his plans to turn it around and where he sees it moving in the future.

Pablo Ramos is spearheading the organization of the swearing in ceremony. He said it will run about an hour and recommended that interested residents arrive early to get a seat.  The auditorium accommodates about 300 people seated. Ramos said there will be an audio feed of the ceremony into the hallway for those standing outside.
