[PHOTOS] Crowd Pays Respects To Christopher McCrudden

The Clarkstown police officer and Pearl River resident's funeral was Saturday morning

Clarkstown Police Officer Christopher McCrudden died earlier this week of complications from a recent illness.

The 50-year-old Pearl River resident was remembered this week as someone always in a good mood and for his special relationship with his younger brother, .

McCrudden’s funeral was Saturday morning at St. Augustine Church in New City. South Main Street in front of the church was closed off during the ceremony, while members from various police departments paid their respects to McCrudden. A large American flag danced in the wind hanging down from the ladder of a New City Fire Department firetruck on Main Street as well. McCrudden was buried later in the day at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
